My fitness journey began June 2011, at this point I decided it was time to lose weight and get in shape. This was the start to something that was inspiring, motivational and even a little addictive! After the first few camps and learning about food, fitness and how to look at the scripture in a whole new way, I knew this was the best camp for me. I now love working out at 5am!
So where do I start? Berries & Bananas, Tutus and tethers, Ultimate circuits, Jump ropes and runs! This is just a small list of things we do at bootcamp. At the start of my fitness journey I was not a runner, nor did I want to be a runner! After signing up for my second bootcamp, the Tutu Crew, I started running, what I thought was a lot. I wasn’t a huge fan of it but I did it because I knew it would pay off in the end. After running my first 5K I ended up running another 6 races over the next 2 months.
Looking back over the past year, I wouldn’t change a thing! I have met some great friends, great motivators, and two of the best trainers anyone could ever ask for! Tish & Rebekah, I can not thank you enough for all the new things you have brought into my life! Bootcamp and/or running have now become a daily routine for me. I enjoy it more than I ever thought I would. I have lost 44 lbs and feel healthy mentally, physically and spiritually. I wouldn’t be where I am today without my trainers and fellow Chix, they have made the first year of this journey very enjoyable and rewarding!
